This last year I've been making graphics for a game called A Clockwork Brain for iPhone and iPad. It's a steampunk inspired brain-training game and it's a lot of fun. Now there's a trailer too! Check it out: [link]

More information available at [link] It's free to download, guys!

(No I didn't actually draw the robot - he was on the project before I was!)

...and I decided it was time to get a Twitter account. Follow me if you feel like watching me spout nonsense on a regular basis. I might throw in a sketch or two every now and again!

Come hang out with me and that dope blue bird.

Hi everyone!

Since I'm not currently working on any big projects I thought I'd announce my availability for work!
Looking for a concept artist for that huge game you're working on? A hilarious T-shirt design? Perhaps a customized header for your cool, cool blog? It doesn't really matter what it is as long as you think my style would be perfect for it!

Do not hesitate to send me a note! There are no stupid requests. Except for those asking me to work for free. Those are kind of stupid.

Looking forward to hear from you,
- J

Hey guys,

I recently started doing Animal of the Day on my blog again, where I draw daily animals and try to have some fun with their expressions and shapes. Last year I failed to keep it up for very long, but this time I'm gonna do better and eventually make enough for an art exhibition.
So check it out if you like. I'm sure some encouragement will help my self-discipline here!

Take care,
- J

I never really use this journal feature anymore, so if you're the least bit interested in my daily words and doodles you can catch them at my new blog - iversenejve.blogspot.com

It's in swedish, but all you non-scandinavians can still look at the pretty pictures and flashy lights. I'll try to put up as much as I can there, from ordinary sketches and school assignments to brand new digital paintings. As usual, comments are very much appreciated!
The design isn't even close to finalized, and hopefully it will look much better in a short while, so stay patient.

Hugs,

Yo.

Yes, there's an unusual amount of dinosaur-related updates as of late and there's more to come. Right now I'm working on a dinosaur-book that my stepmother is making so you'll just have to deal with the prehistoric bastards a while longer. Any complaints can be forwarded to :iconosaeck:. I'm sure he'd be surprised.

For quite a while now I've been thinking of starting a project of my own; a series of pictures depicting a fictional town and its inhabitants. I guess a sort of darker victorian setting with influences from fantasy and steampunk could be a way to describe it. I could however use inputs on what to paint. What would you like to see? Some of my first ideas are the sorts of the clock tower, the town's toy shop, the marketplace and such things.
Throw me some inspiration here, folks!

So, there it is. The big 10'000. That's like 5000 pageviews in half a year, which isn't bad. Not for me, at least. Next kiriban is 500'000, guys!

I probably should design this journal, but I don't know where to start. Header? Footer? Whatnow? Wouldn't know where to start. You'll just have to live with a simple one.
Something to make this journal a bit more interesting - some works in progress:

Bowser: [link]

Smaug: [link]

Other than that I've taken on some commissions and I'm still open for more. Just holler if you're interested.

How y'all doing? It's been a while. I thought I'd once again use this journal to show some of my less fortunate art that is either works in progress, on temporary hiatus or left for dead.

Enjoy.

Earthworm Jim: [link] - This one I hope to do relatively soon. Yeah.

Fishing bears: [link] - I sort of like this one... We'll see.

Machine: [link] - Um... Maybe.

Golem: [link] - Nah.

Other than that I'm looking for a better job. I doubt anyone would be interested in commissions, but don't hesitate to ask if you actually are. ;)

It's been like, what, almost six months since my last journal? I believe you guys have been depraved of my wisdom for too long. It's about time. I broke my tradition of updating every thousand pageview and skipped to #5000; which I actually gave myself. Yay.

So, yeah, things have been pretty cool lately. I won the monthly Gnomon Workshop-challenge with my festival picture and received their first prize of 40 tutorial-DVDs. Which is both crazy and incredibly cool, but I'm nonetheless learning a LOT now.

I haven't been updating quite as much as I should have as of late, but I've got several ongoing things. Here are a couple of WIPs which I may or may not finish, but hopefully will. Enjoy.

Heh.

When I left town a week ago I had about 2000 pageviews. Then my silly eagle picture gets picked as a Daily Deviation and I get 1000 pageviews in a day or so. That's crazy. Thanks a bunch, random people!

I'm glad people like what I'm doing. I've been slacking off a bit this summer but hopefully that will change soon. I'll just have to stop being a lazy bastard. Or at least stop being lazy.

Did you guys know that vegetables don't eat other vegetables? It's true. I assumed they would be full-blown vegetarians since they're called vegetables, but it seems they eat ox and veal like everyone else. Oh well.

I'm planning on starting a website with a friend (nicodemus on devart). A portfolio site wouldn't hurt if I want to do some freelance work, but we're having trouble coming up with a name. I suppose something is wrong when "showersandasses.com" is our best one yet. Oh well.

It seems I'm only drawing robots as of late and that won't stop for a while. They're more fun to design than I expected. I'm open for suggestions on the next one. It's great Photoshop-practice as well.

I haven't eaten anything today. And that's stupid. So was this journal. Don't you hate it when you expect a message for yourself and it ends up being a journal entry you couldn't care less about? I hope you're really miserable now. :)

1000 pageviews! vrey god wrok! exolent!

Considering that I've technically been a member here since 2002, I'd like to say that's an amazing feat. Some of my greatest works were made during 2002-2005, but sadly they were destroyed in a very local ice age that struck my neighborhood early 2006. A real tragedy. It's amazing what biting cold and raging wolves can do to your masterpieces. We shouldn't even talk about those ink-eating ice-moths.

Yes, even the digital copies were destroyed. Quit asking, you.

Anyways. I greatly appreciate these amazing years, which were not at all dominated by a long period of nothingness. And thank you for all the plastic gorillas.

Yeah, that last project sort of ripped out my ribs. I don't know why, but I figure it would be a painful experience. I mean, you need those, right? For stability and hugging. Imagine someone hugging your lungs. They would be all squished against your spine.

What a fine weather for New Year's Eve. Nothing beats the warm, fuzzy feeling of hammering rain when you could have a snowy and wintry wonderland.

I should draw something. If anyone's ever reading this, hand me some inspiration.

700 pageviews are more than one sack of flour.
700 pageviews are more than two canned sausages.
700 pageviews are more than three, four and back again.
700 pageviews are more than five pageviews.
700 pageviews are more than six large continents.
700 pageviews are more than seven fins of a salmon.
700 pageviews are more than eight fins of a salmon.
700 pageviews are more than nine pageviews.
700 pageviews are more than eleven, and ten.

Happy 700 pageviews-day!

I love rain, and I love October, but this particular window washer feels more like a last stand of summer. This ain't your ordinary autumnal rainfall, I can tell you that much. It's really dark in here as well, and... well it was until that bolt of lightning a second ago. I should probably get off this thing. Oh well.
It's hard to draw in this darkness, which is a pity since this day obviously was meant for it. And I don't want to turn on the bright lights either (hey, Interpol reference, whaddyaknow) because that would totally spoil this mood. I guess I'll just have to manage. Is anyone even reading this, by the way?

If you are, check out the latest (and very first) fanart I've ever recieved: [link]
It's totally awesome and something incredibly inspiring to get. Funny thing as well, since I haven't even got around to putting up my comic yet. I guess this is a day as good as any to get started for real.

I cut my hair today, so it's now shorter than on my DeviantID below. But whatever people say, my amazing drawing abilites are NOT affected by the length of my hair! THERE IS NO REASON TO PANIC, EVERYPEOPLE! PLEASE, STOP SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST OR HAVING BABIES IN FEAR OR WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING! THANKS!

On the other hand, you might want to adjust your mental image of the picture below, so it looks like it's shorter. Tip of the day, so to speak. :batman:
Woke up this morning by rolling over on a wasp. A freaking wasp!
Not much to see here yet, really. I should prolly get my own scanner and upload craziness like more pictures, or my current project, Agent Ivory the comic. Chapter 1 is inked, but less scanned and uploaded than it oughta be. Oh well. I guess I could redraw the whole thing in Paint.
